Summer Daycare
Welcome to the huckleberry patch!
Let your little ones have fun while you hit the trails! Our licensed daycare is perfect for kids ages 2 to 5. We provide a full day of tailored, age-appropriate programming that includes indoor and outdoor activities.
Each week we will have a new inspiration for crafts and advengures such as dinosaurs, magic siceince, nature and more! Your kiddos will let their imagination soar with our play based adventure programming. Our day is filled with crafts, books, peer activities, free play, outdoor exploration and time in our nature classroom.

- Snacks and Lunches are NOT provided. You will need to bring a lunch box of all snacks & lunch items for your child for the day. Please note: we are a peanut and tree nut free
- Please bring cold/rain/hot weather clothing for all children for outside play time. See the complete list in the drop down below.

Waivers and Documents
Please note our updated Immunization Record requirements at the Huckleberry Patch Daycare. Records must follow the Wyoming Department of Health Mandatory Immunization Requirements for Children Attending Child Caring Facilities. Waivers for mandatory immunizations will no longer be accepted by the resort. Additional information can be found in the immunization document below.

CHeck-In
Check in at the Huckleberry Patch Daycare between 9:00am – 10:00am.
Please take the time to read the details in the Registration Form and Parent Handbook to best understand our sickness, emergency care, medications, daily schedule, and all other daycare policies. What to bring can be found on our item checklist in the “Waivers and Documents” section.
If you are going to be later than our 9:00am-10:00am drop off time, please email or text our emergency cell (listed on the parent handbook) to let us know. While we will do our best to accommodate a late drop off, we will often be going on walking field trips in the morning and may not have some available to come back to the building right away. Thank you for understanding!
what to bring
All items must be brought daily. please label all items with your child's name.
- Water bottle
- Snacks and lunch, meals are not provided. No peanuts or tree nuts allowed due to allergies. We cannot heat items (except for bottles).
- Change of clothes (shirt, shorts, socks, underwear)
- Rain jacket
- Warm layers - the mornings can be chilly!
- Brimmed sun hat - for sun protection
- Sneakers/Outdoor shoes - must be closed toed and sturdy
- Indoor shoes/Sandals
- Sunglasses - to protect against UV rays
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray (optional)
- Favorite mat, blanket, stuffed animal, or soothing item for rest time (optional)
- ONLY medications needed for the medical consent form that has been discussed and signed with daycare staff
- Toddler diapers and wipes (if applicable)
- Formula or Expressed Human Milk (if applicable). Formula must be in it's original container and expressed human milk must be labeled with child's name and date.
Daily Schedule
All kids must wash hands upon entering.
- 8:00am - Staff Arrives
- 8:30am - Employee Drop Off
- 9:00am - 9:45am - General Public Drop Off/Registration - Free Play
- 9:45am - 10:15am - Clean-up/Morning Meeting/Snack - snacks must be brought from home
- 10:15am - 10:30am - Sunscreen/Bathroom/Ready for Outside
- 10:30am - 11:45am - Walking Field Trip/Outdoor Play
- 11:45am - 12:30pm - Wash up & Lunch - lunch must be brought from home
- 12:30pm - 2:00pm - Quiet/Rest Time - after 30 minutes of rest, any kids who want to, will be able to work on quiet activities such as puzzles, coloring, reading, play dough. If ratios allow, kids will be able to play outside or in another room.
- 2:00pm - 2:30pm - Wake Up/Snack/Get Ready for Outside - snacks must be brought from home
- 2:30pm - 3:30pm - Outdoor Adventure or Arts & Crafts
- 3:30pm - 4:00pm - Free Play/Games/Read Aloud
- 4:00pm - General Public Pick Up
- 4:30pm - Employee Pick Up
- 5:00pm - Staff Leaves
If you are going to be later than 10:00am, please call us at 307-353-2300 x1326 and let us know. In the mornings we will often be going on walking field trips with the kids and might not be available to come back quickly for a drop off. Thanks for understanding!
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance and will be charged with a processing fee of $25 per child per day. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled reservation date or no-shows will forfeit the total cost of the booking. Every effort will be made to reschedule childcare bookings with 72-hour advance notice; change is subject to availability. Additional fees may apply for childcare booking changes.
Illness Policy
To protect the health and wellness of all children, families and staff in our care, we require adherence to the following illness-related cancellation policy:
Day-of Illness Reporting (Before 8:30am):
- If symptoms or illness (as listed in our illness policy in the Parent Handbook) are emailed to daycare@grandtarghee.com before 8:30am on the reservation day: $25 fee per child, remainder issued as stored credit.
Same-day Illness Cancellations (after 8:30am or sick drop-offs):
- If illness is reported after 8:30am, or a sick child is dropped off or sent home due to symptoms, a full-day reservation will be charged.
Please refer to our full illness policy in the Parent Handbook for symptoms that exclude a child from care. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and healthy!
