CHECKING IN

Lodging guests must be 18 or older to check in for a reservation. The Check-in process can only be completed by the person(s) outlined on the reservation. Valid government-issued photo ID and a credit card are required to check in.

  • You may check in any time after 4:00pm.
  • Check-out time is 11:00am.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late checkouts.

SLOPESIDE LODGING Details

Grand Targhee Resort: 3300 E. Ski Hill Rd. Alta, WY 83414

  • The on-mountain Front Desk is open 7:00am – 10:00pm. 
  • Pets are allowed in designated Targhee and Teewinot Lodge rooms only.
  • Discounted lodging lift tickets can be purchased ahead of arrival by calling the Front Desk at 307-353-2300 x0 or upon check in. 
  • The Lodging Registration building is the second one on the right, after entering the resort. Check-in can be completed here.
  • Free parking.

CAMPING 

Grand Targhee Resort: 3300 E. Ski Hill Rd. Alta, WY 83414

  • Check-in is required prior to parking.
  • Camping space are first come, first-served. Special requests are not guaranteed.
  • Use of the pool area and Fitness Cabin is not included.
  • A camping permit must be hung from your rear-view mirror or taped to the windshield or tent. It must be visible at all times.

GRAND TARGHEE RESORT GUEST AMENITIES

  • A heated outdoor pool and hot tub, open daily from 10am - 10pm
  • Access to the Fitness Cabin, open daily from 6am - 6pm and includes a Peloton bike trainer, weight machine, free weights, treadmill, elliptical trainer, and television
  • Use of the Grand Targhee Resort free Town Shuttle, pick up is at the base of the stairs by The General Store
  • Complimentary overnight ski and snowboard storage at the Ski Corral located at Teton Mountain Outfitters

These resort amenities are available when Grand Targhee Resort is open. (Summer season: mid-June – mid-September | Winter season: mid-November – mid-April)

HOUSEKEEPING STAYOVER SERVICE POLICY

Mid-stay refresh service will only be available to those staying 6+ nights unless requested. To request a refresh service, please call the Front Desk. 

DEPOSIT POLICY

  • At the time of booking: 1st night’s stay plus tax
  • Final Balance Due: 45 days prior to arrival date
  • If booked within 45 days of arrival date: Reservation Total Amount will be due at the time of booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • All cancellation fees will be applied per room.
  • No-shows, early departures, and unused nights are nonrefundable.
  • New promotions cannot be applied to existing reservations. To book under a new promotion, the original booking must be canceled with all applicable fees and rebooked under the new rate.
  • Reservations may be canceled by Grand Targhee Resort, for any or no cause or reason. In the event of cancellation by the resort, reservations will be re-booked, relocated, or refunded in full.

WINTER SEASON CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Stays November 22, 2024 – April 22, 2025, except for holiday periods. See holiday policies below. 
  • Cancellations made outside 45 days of arrival date will be refunded less a $75 processing fee.
  • Cancellations made within 45 to 15 days of the arrival date forfeit their 1st night’s stay plus tax.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival date forfeit the entire cost of the stay.

HOLIDAYS CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Christmas & New Year’s Holiday Period: December 14, 2024– January 5, 2025
  • Martin Luther King Weekend: January 17 – January 20, 2025
  • President’s Day Weekend: February 14 – February 17, 2025
  • Cancellations made outside of 15 days of the arrival date forfeit their 1st night’s stay plus tax.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival date forfeit the entire cost of the stay.

SUMMER SEASON CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations made outside 7 days of arrival date will be refunded less a $25 processing fee.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival date forfeit the entire cost of the stay.

PET POLICY

Pets are only allowed in designated units and with an additional fee. Only dogs are permitted at a maximum of two. Please contact Grand Targhee Resort ahead of time to confirm the availability of pet-friendly units. If the unit booked is not pet-friendly, you may be required to pay to upgrade to a pet-friendly room. No refunds will be issued for changes to rooms of lesser value to accommodate a pet. Emotional support animals will be subject to the same policies as pets.

Travel Insurance Purchase Rules:
  • PURCHASING TIME: Travel insurance can be added up to 21 days after your initial deposit and prior to your arrival date. All guests must be fit for travel at the time of purchase. Review policy for specific coverage and considerations.
  • EFFECTIVE DATE: The policy will become effective at 12:01am the day after purchase.
  • REFUNDS: Travel insurance premium is refundable up to 14 days after purchase.

Mountain Safety
