Nordic Skiing
Beautiful terrain, wildlife, pure air, and groomed tracks come together to make up the Grand Targhee Nordic Trail System. It boasts 10km of groomed classic cross-country trails and skate skiing lanes that wind through wooded glades, aspen groves, and scenic meadows. Find your stride or expand your Nordic skills in classic or skate skiing with a lesson through our friendly Mountain Sports School.
Nordic trails are typically groomed, and the classic track set, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, conditions permitting.

New this season
- All trails are shared, please respect other trail users.
- There will be no single track fat bike trails, but fat bikes are allowed on the groomed Nordic Trails.
- Dogs are allowed and must have a day ticket or season pass.

QUICK NOTES
- The Nordic Trail System access requires the purchase of one of the following: a full mountain lift ticket, winter season pass, Nordic trail ticket or Nordic season pass.
- Dogs are permitted on trails, but must have a ticket or season pass. Please see Dog Policy information below.
- Nordic Trails are groomed Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Large snow amounts may effect the grooming schedule, please refer to the grooming report for the most up to date information.
Trail Information & Rules
- Nordic Trail ticket or Season Pass is required to access the Nordic Trail System.
- Hours of operation: 9:00am – 4:00pm daily.
- Nordic trails are typically groomed, and the classic track set, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, conditions permitting.
- Resort boundaries are not marked. It is recommended to stay on designated trails.
- Trail system is Share the trail. Treat other users with courtesy and respect.
- Keep the volume on your headphones at a reasonable level.
- Dogs must have a ticket or season pass.
- Over-snow vehicles may be encountered at any time, please give them plenty of space.
Dog policies
- No more than two dogs per trail user.
- All dogs must have a ticket or season pass.
- Ticket or season pass must be displayed on the dog or the owner.
- Please keep your dog under control at all times.
- Dogs must always be within sight of the owner.
- Dogs must be leashed within 50 yards of the parking lot.
- Dog waste must be picked up immediately on trails or within parking lot and disposed of in a dog waste station. Please do not leave waste bags on the trailside.
- Be courteous of other skiers and snowshoers.
- Control your dog with other trail users are approaching.
VIOLATION POLICY
Dog tickets or a dog season pass is required for dog use of the trail. Violations will result in a $250 fine. Failure to comply with policies may result in a fine and termination of dog and/or owner season pass.
